"Le Grand Perpignan: between mountain and sea"
The Têt is a river that brings together the waters of a vast and complex watershed and hydrographic network. Perpignan grew up on the banks of the river in its major bed and is subject to the risk of river overflow. The project calls for the integrated transformation of the urbanization zones into the city’s road network, while restoring space to water and developing a tramway. The project develops an enhanced relationship with water, between storage, irrigation and bathing water. The transformation includes a horizontal pool supported by a system of basins.
