"Two lands and seas, from Amsterdam to Almere"
Amsterdam, with its port location in the Dutch polders, is subject to a variety of risks: high-risk areas during major floods and areas flooded by natural tides every 10 years. Between Amsterdam and Almere, the project gives rise to an urban device that responds to rising water levels, halfway between a mineral dike and a wild dike. The transformation includes the construction of a youth hostel, a concert hall and a new district.
