2018
"Two territories facing submersion"
The islands of the Wadden Sea, in northern Germany, are eroded by tidal erosion. In the hope of slowing down the process, various dikes have been erected on the outskirts of the fields, on the outer edges. But what if we use these dikes differently? This project assumes a slow re-sedimentation of the island via the localized opening of the dike. What to do with a fragmented dike? What to project on a landscape under construction?
