Given its low rainfall and the geological structure of its soils, the city suffers from numerous droughts. The project develops a new urban form, set into the town&#8217;s natural slope and close to a watercourse to generate runoff. The project creates a cratered area for shelter and protection from the sun. Housing, hostels, cultural spaces, markets and facilities provide an opportunity to explore an architecture of
